Job Summary

Midland States Bank is seeking a skilled Bank Teller to provide exceptional customer service and manage cash transactions with precision. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for processing business and individual banking transactions, managing a cash drawer, and cross-selling bank services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive, prompt, and efficient customer transactions.
  • Manage a cash drawer, balancing and rolling it for the day at close of shift.
  • Report any discrepancies to the supervisor as necessary.
  • Receive cash and checks for deposit, verifying amounts and examining endorsements.
  • Cash checks for customers in accordance with bank policy.
  • Assist customers with transactions and ATM operations.
  • Provide accurate customer service, balancing cash drawer throughout the day to reduce and eliminate teller differences.
  • Understand basic knowledge of deposit and lending products & services.
  • Identify correct product types through needs-based questioning to build and deepen customer relationships.
  • Consistently demonstrate knowledge of bank products and services through referring products and services to corresponding business partners.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift and transport coin and currency bags as required.
