Position Overview:

Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in the Substance Abuse treatment sector? The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is in search of a dynamic leader to assume the role of Residential Substance Abuse Treatment (RSAT) Coordinator. This position is crucial for managing the agency's statewide RSAT initiatives and formulating strategies to standardize operational policies while enhancing the capacity and utilization of substance abuse treatment services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee the Residential Substance Abuse Treatment (RSAT) Treatment Capacity Plan aimed at expanding substance abuse services.
  • Collaborate with executive staff across the state to ensure quality assurance and fidelity at all RSAT locations.
  • Maintain and analyze spreadsheets and reports related to treatment capacity.
  • Generate statistical reports to ensure compliance with various grants funding the RSAT programs.
  • Ensure adherence to program metrics and the accuracy of Arizona Correctional Information System (ACIS) reports.
  • Coordinate with operational teams to address facility and movement challenges.
  • Engage with the Office of Continuous Improvement (OCI) for ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct root-cause analyses and process mapping utilizing LEAN methodologies.
  • Work with Human Resources and the Arizona Department of Administration to strategize hiring plans for substance abuse counselors.
  • Participate in recruitment efforts and facilitate meetings focused on problem-solving and business reviews.
  • Meet with community vendors to enhance the network of substance abuse contractors.
  • Review and recommend policy and process enhancements to ensure alignment with current practices.
  • Ensure clinical supervision complies with Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (ABBHE) standards.
  • Plan and coordinate various meetings and manage schedules effectively.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of project and grant management.
  • Proficiency in personal computers and software applications such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Knowledge of management principles and adult learning processes.
  • Familiarity with ADCRR policies and security practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage detailed projects and maintain accurate data.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Three or more years of progressive managerial experience.
  • Experience with corrections policies and procedures.
  • Licenses in counseling from the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
  • Experience in LEAN processes and advanced spreadsheet management.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Employment is contingent upon passing a background investigation. If driving is a job requirement, a valid driver's license and successful completion of necessary training are mandatory.
