Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at AMA Support Services LLC. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in creating a culture of excellence, compassion, and integrity in the delivery of services to our individuals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the comfort, safety, and general supervision of individuals in both the home and community.
  • Provide opportunities and support for our individuals to build and develop a sense of belonging in the community through active inclusion.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including cleaning, cooking, laundry, and medication administration.
  • Provide personal care and hygiene support, including bathing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, their support teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and requirements.
  • Facilitate community participation services as prescribed in the individual's support plan.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
  • Work experience as a caregiver (professional or personal) preferred.
  • Valid Driver's license required.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with others.
  • Proficient technology skills, including use of smartphones, laptops, and web-based databases.
Working Conditions
  • Hours and weekly schedule may vary, including working holidays, inclement weather, and overnight shifts.
  • Frequent lifting, stretching, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and other physical exertion may be required.
  • Exposure to various medical conditions and communicable diseases may occur.
