Job Description

Passavant Memorial Homes is seeking a dedicated and caring individual to fill a full-time Community Support Professional position in the Harmar area. This 36 hour per week position involves providing support and care to individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, mental health, and behavioral health needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting individuals with daily living skills, social, recreational, and vocational activities, with an emphasis on community inclusion and integration. They will also be required to transport individuals to and from community engagement opportunities and activities, facility engagement, and/or volunteer sites as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 18 years of age, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver's license. Experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist individuals with daily living skills, social, recreational, and vocational activities
  • Transport individuals to and from community engagement opportunities and activities
  • Provide support and care to individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, mental health, and behavioral health needs
  • Develop and maintain social networks and reciprocal relationships with members of the broader community
  • Assist individuals with financial management, budgeting, and the purchasing of preferred goods or products

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities (preferred)
