Salary

The successful candidate can expect a competitive hourly rate of $18-$22 per hour, with the possibility of guaranteed hours and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, vision, and dental benefits.

Job Description

As a Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in providing specialized instruction, support, and advocacy to students with disabilities, ensuring their academic and personal growth. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting teachers in providing instruction and support to students in various educational settings.
  • Working with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
  • Implementing behavior management strategies as directed by the teacher.
  • Assisting with classroom management and organization of materials.
  • Providing instructional assistance in areas such as reading, writing, math, and other subjects.
  • Supporting students with special needs, including physical, emotional, or learning disabilities.
  • Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to support the overall educational goals of the school.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • One of the following:
    • Certification as a Paraprofessional in the state of Pennsylvania.
    • An Associate's Degree.
    • Completion of at least 2 years of postsecondary study.
  • Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred.
