Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of front desk and housekeeping staff to ensure seamless hotel operations.
  • Assist the Hotel Manager in the daily administration and coordination of hotel functions, including housekeeping, front desk, and vendor management.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of hotel rooms, public areas, and storage spaces.
  • Oversee the ordering and inventory management of cleaning and laundry supplies, as well as the maintenance of laundry equipment.
  • Assist with the hiring, training, and development of front desk and housekeeping staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Hotel Manager to develop and implement hotel budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and effective cost management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Hotel Manager, including coverage at the front desk and handling of lost and found items.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 2 or more years of college coursework or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 2-3 years of hotel, food service, housekeeping, or similar experience required; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with people and give/take directions required.
  • Opera PMS experience preferred.
Working Conditions
  • Familiarity with safety and sanitation procedures required.
  • Familiarity with proper care of laundry equipment required.
  • Ability to work with cleaning products required.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs required.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time required.
  • Ability to work on a computer system for hotel property management and point of sale systems required.
