Position Overview

The IT Cybersecurity Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing administrative and personnel management functions for the cybersecurity team. This position demands a high level of leadership skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with significant responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership: Demonstrate exceptional leadership capabilities in a fast-paced setting, ensuring effective management of cybersecurity operations.
  • Information Assurance: Exhibit expert knowledge and practical experience in delivering comprehensive information assurance strategies.
  • Network Oversight: Establish and maintain oversight of network operations and data management for all Department of Defense clients within the designated region.
  • Personnel Development: Create and implement work improvement plans, and recommend personnel actions for team members.
Qualifications

Conditions of Employment: Candidates must be U.S. Citizens and may be required to undergo a suitability review and security clearance process.

Basic Requirements:

  • Attention to Detail: Proven experience in reviewing IT-related work for accuracy and compliance with established standards.
  • Customer Service: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their current and future IT needs.
  • Oral Communication: Experience in briefing senior management and technical staff on the status of IT systems and projects.
  • Problem Solving: Skill in identifying and addressing complex IT-related issues with innovative solutions.

Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in cybersecurity operations, including supervisory roles and providing guidance on security, network management, and risk management.

Additional Information

This position is part of the Cyber Excepted Service and does not allow for conversion to the Competitive Service. A trial period may be required, and telework options will depend on mission requirements.
