About the Position: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated researcher to join our team at the University of Washington's Institute for Protein Design. As a Translational Research Scientist Assistant (RSA), you will contribute to the development of innovative protein therapeutics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine molecular biology tasks, including vector amplification, Golden Gate Assembly, and transformation in E. coli.
- Pursue protein production and purification using immobilized metal affinity chromatography (IMAC), size-exclusion chromatography (SEC), and dialysis.
- Collaborate with scientists and the IPD Core Laboratories to advance our research goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Molecular Biology/Biochemistry/Structural Biology/Cell Biology or related field and less than one year of relevant experience.
- Previous experience with protein production, purification, and characterization techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
