Job Title: Substance Abuse Therapist Specialist

InterCommunity is seeking a skilled Substance Abuse Therapist Specialist to provide individual and group counseling services to residents. This is a full-time position that requires a strong understanding of substance abuse treatment and therapeutic techniques.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $75,000 per year.

Job Description:

  • The successful candidate will assess client treatment needs, develop treatment recommendations, and coordinate care with other providers.
  • They will be responsible for providing evidence-based individual and group counseling, managing crisis situations on the unit, and documenting client records according to regulatory requirements.
  • Additionally, they will oversee the utilization review process and transport clients as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field and Connecticut State licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LADC).
  • Two years of relevant experience working in a Recovery-Oriented System of Care.
  • Experience in individual, group, and family therapy, as well as knowledge of the 12 Step Program.
