Job Summary:

The Behavioral Health Specialist - Crisis Intervention will provide comprehensive behavioral health care services to children, adolescents, and adults, focusing on crisis assessment and treatment planning. This role requires a Master's degree in the Behavioral Health field and applicable state licensure, along with strong clinical, communication, and team collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct and indirect clinical services to clients in need of behavioral health care, ensuring timely and appropriate referrals to least restrictive settings.
  • Develop, implement, and modify treatment plans, interventions, and disposition/discharge plans as needed, addressing both age-specific and substance abuse-specific issues.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nursing staff, medical directors, and inpatient unit leadership, to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Foster a caring and compassionate environment through effective communication and adherence to ECHN's Core Values of Teamwork, Communication, Respect, and Caring.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of a Master's degree in the Behavioral Health field is required.
  • A State of CT. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) is required.
  • Prior experience working in the Behavioral Health field, preferably in a specific prospective service setting, is highly desirable.
