Position: Operations Manager

Compensation: $90 - $100k

Employment Type: Direct Hire/ Full Time

Work Environment: On-Site

Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years in operations within the construction sector

Essential Qualifications: A solid background in construction or building materials is crucial, along with the ability to communicate effectively with field personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project timelines and budgets, ensuring that all tasks are executed efficiently.
  • Develop schedules, manage team members, and maintain communication with clients and project managers to navigate challenges.

Core Competencies:

  • Expertise in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating construction projects.
  • Skilled in budget preparation and schedule management.
  • Resource Management: Optimize allocation of labor, materials, and equipment across projects to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Coordinate the procurement and delivery of materials to construction sites.

Travel Requirements: Minimal

Primary Duties:

  • Collaborate with team members throughout the lifecycle of new and ongoing projects.
  • Serve as a primary contact for clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, fostering clear communication and strong professional relationships.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of superintendents to ensure adherence to project schedules.
  • Assist in developing job site work schedules and production targets.
  • Identify potential project risks and propose effective solutions.
  • Manage the dispatch of subcontractors and equipment.
  • Evaluate and manage client satisfaction levels.
  • Conduct regular meetings with superintendents and finishers.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Assess and allocate field workforce across various geographic areas.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to meet staffing needs.
  • Ensure timely submission of all project and payroll documentation, including timekeeping, daily reports, and material tracking.
  • Monitor project scheduling across all assignments.
  • Work with Human Resources to address employee relations and disciplinary matters.
  • Facilitate new hire integration and ensure understanding of workplace expectations.
  • Support the performance management program by outlining expectations and career development opportunities.
  • Administer the Incentive Program for concrete field professionals.
  • Identify and provide professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Coordinate maintenance of equipment.
  • Track vendor pricing effectively.

Qualifications:

  • At least five years of direct experience in construction management.
  • Exceptional ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and see projects through to completion.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong time management and strategic planning abilities.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in relevant software, including MS Office Suite and Project Management tools.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
