Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage engineering projects, including capital, non-capital, infrastructure, and non-routine projects.
  • Supervise and train project engineers, co-ops, and hourly staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and quality to drive process improvements and ensure safe working conditions.
  • Develop and implement process improvements, including lean six sigma methodologies, to reduce variation and maximize efficiency.
  • Provide daily support to the operations manager and production team with any operational needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with prior experience as a project engineer.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data, and recognize relationships between various process functions.
  • Ability to apply advanced problem-solving techniques, including SPC, control charts, Pareto charts, process cycle time, fishbone diagrams, flowcharting, and process balancing.
  • Training in lean six sigma methodology preferred.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills to foster cross-functional collaboration.
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational skills to handle multiple activities.
