Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Project Manager to join our team at Batchelor & Kimball. As a Commissioning Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial, administrative, and implementation aspects of our construction projects. Your expertise in mechanical construction and project management will be essential in ensuring the successful completion of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Change Order Management: Recommend solutions, facilitate quotes, and close orders to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, investigate concerns, and implement corrective actions to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Communication Planning: Develop and implement communication plans to keep internal and external stakeholders informed of project status and progress.
  • Project Scheduling: Create and maintain project schedules, including task dependencies, milestones, and critical path analysis to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Project Administration: Oversee all aspects of project administration, including contract management, risk mitigation, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Financial Management: Manage project finances, including cash flow, monthly forecasted costs and revenues, and forecasted cost at completion to ensure projects are financially viable.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate with technicians, team leads, and other project managers to establish project task and schedule requirements, communicate project progress, and review plans and specifications.
  • Subcontractor Management: Utilize qualified subcontractors, oversee subcontractor RFQ process, award subcontracts, and manage subcontractor execution to ensure high-quality work and timely completion.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Investigate customer concerns, implement corrective actions, and communicate with customers and assigned staff to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 7-10 years of experience in the field of HVAC and project management, with a strong background in mechanical construction.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as construction management or engineering.
  • Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced construction office environment, and aptitude to learn new systems.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of commissioning processes, documentation, and implementation, as well as mechanical knowledge and project management principles.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this role are typical of a typical office environment and may include occasional field travel.
