Job Description

Vimeo's Controllership organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Accounting Director to join our team. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for providing technical accounting guidance and support to various business units and teams across the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Accounting Guidance: Provide expert-level technical accounting guidance on complex topics and transactions, including revenue recognition, business combinations, stock-based compensation, foreign currency, leases, and internally developed software.
  • Accounting Analysis: Perform in-depth accounting analyses and draft memorandums to support business decisions and ensure compliance with US GAAP.
  • Financial Reporting: Collaborate with the financial reporting team to support the filing of quarterly and annual SEC filings and other periodic reports, ensuring accurate and timely disclosures.
  • Due Diligence: Assist with financial and operational due diligence on potential acquisitions and integration efforts for completed acquisitions.
  • Documentation: Manage and maintain documentation and calculations for key business issues, such as impairment assessments and accounting policies.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in a technical accounting group, including Big 4 Public Accounting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and CPA certification.
  • Current knowledge of US GAAP and SEC financial reporting requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Workiva (Wdesk) and Oracle Cloud (GL, FCCS, EPBCS).
  • Background in the video technology industry.

What We Offer:

Vimeo offers a competitive salary range of $135,000 - $205,500, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including bonus or commission, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), paid time off, and a generous 401k match.
