Job Summary

OhioGuidestone is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Mental Health Therapist to join our team. As a Therapist, you will work with young children and their families to promote social and emotional development, providing creative interventions in PLAY, ART, and MUSIC.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of human behavior and performance, as well as knowledge of group behavior and dynamics. They will be able to form relationships with diverse populations and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, family, and group counseling and psychotherapy to assigned caseload
  • Develop and maintain a therapeutic relationship with clients, families, and caregivers
  • Respond to mental health emergencies in a culturally responsive manner
  • Identify appropriate interventions for clients in crisis and work effectively with staff to access resources
  • Provide Community Psychiatric Supports and Treatment, SUD Targeted Case Management, and Therapeutic Behavioral Services as needed
Requirements
  • LSW, LPC, MFT, or LCDC II license and related educational requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited program
  • Knowledge of human behavior and performance, individual differences, learning and motivation, and psychological research methods
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to form relationships with diverse populations
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
