Budget Manager

Job Summary:
The County of Yavapai is seeking a highly skilled Budget Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Finance Department, you will be responsible for managing the preparation, development, and administration of the County budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the budget process, including reviewing, analyzing, and making recommendations on new program plans and funding requests.
- Serve as the System Administrator for the budget program OpenGov.
- Coordinate the budget process with the Finance Department.
- Provide technical assistance to County staff and resolve budget-related issues.
- Conduct long-range revenue and expenditure forecasts and develop forecast models.
- Prepare and maintain the County's Cost Allocation Plan.
- Consult on strategic and business planning with departments and the Board of Supervisors.
- Perform research and analysis on special projects and answer questions from the public and other agencies regarding budget information.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, Statistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of four years of experience in accounting or budgeting, preferably in a public or governmental environment.
- Valid Arizona driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of governmental budgeting practices, principles, and techniques.
- Experience with Microsoft Office software and budgeting software.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
