Emergency Department Nurse

As an Emergency Department Nurse with Corewell Health, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care to individuals of all ages. Our 11-bed Emergency Department is accredited for chest pain and holds a Level 4 designation.

Job SummaryThe successful candidate will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge patients. They will provide quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader, adhering to Corewell Health policies and procedures. The RN will recognize the impact of nursing care and patient/family partnerships on patient outcomes, partnering with and utilizing patient/family input and goals in planning the plan of care.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide professional nursing care to patients, incorporating patient-family centered care principles.
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge patients according to the ANA scope of practice.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
To be eligible for this position, applicants must hold an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing, with a valid MI Registered Nurse (RN) license. AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 90 days of hire, with ACLS, NIH Stroke Certification, PALS, and TNCC certifications obtained within specified timeframes. Previous experience in acute care or licensed healthcare roles is preferred.
