We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Lakeland Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist with us, you will have the opportunity to work with a highly skilled clinical team to help diagnose, monitor, and treat conditions that affect the lungs and breathing in people of all ages.
Job SummaryThis is a full-time position in our Respiratory Therapy department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional patient care and be committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients' respiratory needs and make recommendations for treatment according to policy and protocol guidelines.
- Perform advanced evaluation, management, and therapeutic procedures for patients requiring respiratory assistance.
- Assess the effectiveness of interventions and accurately document patient information according to department and legal standards.
- Complete required education and competencies within designated timeframes and maintain competency in areas of accountability.
- Accurately and timely complete all necessary documentation and billing.
- Facilitate smooth transitions for patients to appropriate referral services or home and provide education to patients and families regarding respiratory issues.
- Instruct and train other respiratory care staff, nursing, and medical personnel on patient needs and respiratory care services.
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy.
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy.
- Two years of relevant experience in pulmonary rehabilitation, respiratory care, sleep medicine, or equivalent clinical education.
- LIC-Respiratory Therapist license from the State of Michigan.
- CRT-Respiratory Therapist Registry from the National Board for Respiratory Care.
- CRT-Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from the American Heart Association.
- CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
The salary range for this position is approximately $85,000 to $110,000 per year, depending on experience. This amount includes a sign-on bonus of up to $25,000.
