JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direct supervision of the Department Manager, the Team Member is tasked with delivering exceptional customer service in alignment with company standards. Responsibilities include efficiently processing sales, managing cash register operations, maintaining cleanliness, stocking shelves, and safeguarding company assets. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and to bend, stand, and stoop for extended periods.

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The responsibilities of a Team Member encompass, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Delivering outstanding customer service, including greeting customers and addressing inquiries.
  • Assisting customers at the registers.
  • Working across various departments within the store.
  • Ensuring product rotation, freshness, and proper display on shelves according to the planogram.
  • Unloading products from delivery trucks and organizing the stockroom.
  • Restocking assigned sections as needed.
  • Supporting the replenishment of all departments.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of cases and shelves, including mopping and sweeping the sales floor, stockroom, and dairy coolers.
  • Operating backroom equipment such as pallet jacks, balers, compactors, and scrub machines.
  • Assisting with additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE/LICENSE REQUIRED:

Experience:
Minimum of six months experience in a retail environment is required.

Preferred Skills:
  • Ability to adhere to company customer service protocols.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills or related experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and colleagues.
  • Capability to follow instructions and directions.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
Skills:

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal (bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus).
Problem identification and resolution skills.
