Senior Roadway Engineer Job Description

Benesch is seeking a highly skilled Senior Roadway Engineer to join our Roadway Design team in Georgia. As a Technical Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the execution of projects and the development of technical talent within the division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage technical project elements, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness of analyses and designs.
  • Communicate technical progress and issues to Project Managers, facilitating informed decision-making and proactive problem-solving.
  • Train and mentor staff, imparting technical knowledge and skills and fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Perform, review, and manage technical analyses and designs, ensuring completeness and compliance with quality standards.
  • Actively participate in professional organizations, seeking leadership roles and opportunities for publication and presentations.
  • Assist with business development efforts and proposal development, leveraging technical expertise to secure new opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities for implementation of technical processes Benesch-wide, standardizing work plans and enhancing efficiency and consistency in project execution.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on projects, providing specialized knowledge and insights to optimize project outcomes and deliver added value to clients.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Professional Engineering License in the state of Georgia.
  • Previous experience in MicroStation and OpenRoads.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling efficient decision-making and resolution of complex technical challenges.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills to interface with stakeholders, fostering clear and transparent communication channels and promoting collaboration.
