About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Roadway Engineer to join our team at Parsons Corporation. As a key member of our Critical Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for completing complex engineering assignments, applying transportation engineering techniques and analyses within roadway and geometric design on a variety of exciting and complex projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately.
  • Extract engineering information from CAD drawings.
  • Prepare engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.
  • Complete a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes.
  • Frequently interface with other Engineering disciplines as well as other departments.
  • Prepare detailed requisitions for equipment and materials.
  • Review supplier drawing submittals and perform technical bid analyses.
  • Prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
  • Provide technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
  • May be required to provide the seal and signature of the professional engineer, as appropriate, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances.
  • May act in an advisory capacity to senior management personnel on engineering related matters.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related field) and typically 8+ years of related work experience.
  • Professional Engineer registration is required.
  • Georgia DOT experience desired.
  • Experience in Microstation and OpenRoads is preferred.
