About the Role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager/Senior Roadway Engineer to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for leading the planning, design, and production of engineering drawings for various highway and roadway projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning, design, and production of engineering drawings, including supervising the production of these drawings.
  • Execute assignments in preparing and assembling specifications.
  • Participate in conducting engineering investigations and planning work, including collecting and analyzing data using established procedures, performing routine calculations, and evaluating the feasibility of alternate solutions.
  • Prepare assigned sections of reports under the close review of a more experienced professional.
  • Participate on projects involving construction activities by reviewing shop drawings for conformance to specifications, assisting in recordkeeping and generating progress reports, observing construction procedures, and collecting samples for quality control testing.
  • Perform data acquisition and analysis, research the feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and/or regulatory agency specifications or regulations.
  • Prepare material for reports and permit applications, gather information, draft outlines, prepare work progression documents, and graphic presentations.
  • Perform field observations of construction.
Requirements
  • BS and/or MS in Engineering.
  • 10+ years of engineering experience.
  • Must have highway/roadway design experience.
  • Excellent technical and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project financial management and team management skills.
  • DOT experience required.
  • State PE required through reciprocity.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation, Open Roads Designer.
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D recommended but not required.
  • Project Manager Professional a plus, but not required.
