Job Overview

LIF Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for misguided male adolescents. Our mission is to empower young men to establish a sense of normalcy and purpose in their lives.

We are seeking an experienced Residential Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of one of our residential homes. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the well-being of the young men residing in the home, collaborating with placement agencies and support services, and facilitating resident appointments.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in social work or a related field, experience in social work with adolescents, and knowledge of group boarding home environments and state regulatory mandates. They will also possess strong administrative and clerical skills, including basic computer skills, and be able to work effectively with people of diverse cultures, ages, and economic backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Empower young men to establish realistic plans to achieve individual goals
  • Work with placement agencies to identify residents suited for our homes
  • Develop wellness plans for each resident assigned to the home
  • Coordinate and monitor health visits, including health assessments, dental, physical, medical evaluations, and therapy appointments
  • Teach youth appropriate life skills and help them work through negative behaviors
  • Submit progress notes daily for every resident assigned to the home
  • Dispense resident medications and properly document medications given
  • Build positive relationships with youth daily
  • Transport youth to and from appointments and social events safely and timely
  • Understand the importance of safety and how to prevent critical incidents
  • Supervise Life Coaches and be responsible for their performance and professional development
  • Report to the LIF Inc. Director and complete and submit reports

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field
  • Experience in social work with adolescents
  • Knowledge of group boarding home environments and state regulatory mandates
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a current driver's license and good driving record
  • Must pass a KBI and FBI background check
  • Must be willing to complete a health assessment
  • Must be able to work with male adolescents with behavioral problems
  • Supervisory experience, preferably in the field of social work
  • Ability to make routine decisions and determine proper action based on experience within the limits of organization's policies and procedures
  • Ability to work effectively with people of diverse cultures, ages, and economic backgrounds
  • Strong administrative and clerical skills, including basic computer skills
  • Flexibility to work overtime and some holidays
  • Must have effective organizational skills and ability to handle multiple activities with changing priorities simultaneously
