Lead Software Quality Assurance Engineer

ASRC Federal Mission Solutions is a leading provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration, and project management services for critical defense systems.

We are currently looking for a Software Quality Assurance Specialist to contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of the U.S. Navy's Aegis Weapons System.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Proficiency in analyzing Unix and Legacy applications across various runtime environments.
  • Capability to devise and execute strategies for process enhancement and resolving technical challenges.
  • Experience in generating and assessing corrective action reports.
  • Skill in collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to address quality concerns.
  • Participation and leadership in Process Evaluations.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship to obtain and uphold a Secret Security Clearance.
  • 5-7 years of experience in software development, Quality Assurance, and Configuration Management.
  • In-depth knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, Project, and Word.
  • Experience with ClearCase/ClearQuest or similar Source Code Management Systems is advantageous.
  • Understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Development practices.
  • Knowledge of Status Accounting and Tracking Systems.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities, multitasking skills, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills to maintain effective relationships with peers and customers at all technical levels.
  • Specific experience with Naval Weapon Systems is a plus.
