Your responsibilities will encompass addressing client inquiries regarding account credits, debits, balances, and the bankruptcy procedure, as well as managing notifications received via email or postal mail.
Moreover, you will handle consumer bankruptcy automation discrepancies and respond to inquiries or complaints from clients or legal representatives via email and mail, manually processing accounts linked to business filings, including calculating pre-petition credits, generating statements of account (SOAs) for proof of claim submissions, and managing dismissed cases, along with conducting additional research for preference actions, stay violations, and disputes concerning filed proof of claims.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, including FDCPA, state, and local regulations, as outlined in GC Services policies.
- Successfully complete training on FDCPA and state collection laws, as well as GC Services Accounts Receivable training program.
- Negotiate payment arrangements with clients to resolve outstanding balances or establish appropriate payment plans.
- Accurately document all collection activities in client systems.
- Address any identified deficiencies or oversights noted during monitoring or quality assurance reviews as directed by management.
- Maintain positive public relations and manage emotional callers in a high-pressure environment.
- Cultivate strong working relationships with colleagues and supervisors.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
What We Seek in a Candidate:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Preferred: Minimum of 6 months of collections experience.
- Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
- Ability to remain focused on calls throughout your shift with minimal distractions.
- Proficient with technology, capable of managing multiple windows and tabs while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong attendance record to ensure availability for customer needs.
