About Whitmoor Country Club

Robert "Bob" Whittaker Sr. built his first home in 1977. Over the course of the next 20 years, he grew his family business into one of the biggest home-building companies in the Midwest. In 1996, Whittaker Homes sold 758 homes and became the #1 home builder in Missouri. Eventually, Whittaker Homes became a family business with Bob's wife Shirley Whittaker, and each of Bob's children joining the team in various capacities. Bob Whittaker had a real passion for every aspect of the golf industry and developed some of the area's best golf courses including Whitmoor Country Club.

For many years, his children continued his legacy by owning and operating the Club. In 2023, the family chose Concert Golf Partners as a successor for the 36-hole property.

Position Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Youth Activities Specialist to join our team at Whitmoor Country Club. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and creating engaging activities that promote fun, learning, and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting members and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Answer member inquiries accurately and efficiently, both in person and over the phone.
  • Assist with event setup, decorations, and safety checks to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
  • Lead and engage children in a variety of activities, including pool games, arts and crafts, sports, and holiday celebrations.
  • Supervise children during camp sessions, ensuring their well-being and adherence to club rules and regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment for all youth activities.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's participation in programs and events.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement new and exciting activities that cater to the interests of our young members.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and internet applications.
  • Experience working with children of various ages, preferably in a recreational or educational setting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude and a genuine passion for working with youth.
