Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Experience Liaison to join our team at Boston Children's Hospital. This role will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in our Autism Spectrum Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Encounter Management:
    • Deliver outstanding customer service that supports unit operations and enhances the patient experience.
    • Collaborate with referring healthcare providers and practices to ensure seamless care coordination.
    • Obtain necessary authorizations to compile patient and staff schedules, ensuring efficient workflow.
    • Schedule patients and provide support throughout the patient encounter.
  • Check In / Check Out:
    • Greet and direct patients, families, and visitors with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
    • Monitor daily schedules and coordinate flow with clinicians and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
    • Reconcile payments and prepare deposits, providing accurate records in hospital systems.
    • Facilitate and direct communication with Financial Counseling to resolve any issues.
  • Administrative:
    • Record and forward messages, triage calls for urgent information or services, and initiate emergency services as needed.
    • Provide routine clerical support as required, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Requirements
  • A high school level of education, with a Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Prior customer service or administrative experience, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care.
  • The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, with empathy and understanding in difficult interpersonal situations.
  • The ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies, fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect.
