Job Summary

Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest seeks a Housing Specialist to provide supportive services to participants in the Foundational Community Supports (FCS) program. The successful candidate will provide housing services to participants to execute Individual Housing Plans that enhance housing security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist participants in achieving housing stability through direct and indirect service provision.
  • Consult with participants to conduct housing needs assessments and work with them to locate and obtain stable housing.
  • Establish and document participant housing requirements, determine household barriers, and gather information about prior housing situations.
  • Coordinate and provide supportive services needed by participants to achieve and maintain stable housing.
  • Understand and perform duties within compliance with State and Federal Fair Housing Laws.
  • Use informal community networks to locate housing and make referrals as necessary.
  • Participate in meetings, staffings, and other activities to promote and review the effectiveness of Individual Housing Plans.
  • Explain and provide written information on the coordinated entry process to eligible and ineligible participants.
  • Conduct other services and activities in concert with the Foundational Community Supports program guide and at the direction of the Goodwill Program Manager.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in human or social services from an accredited college or university and at least two years of demonstrated experience providing supported employment or similar services.
  • Be a certified employment support professional (CESP) or a certified rehabilitation counselor (CRC).
  • Associate degree with three or more years of demonstrated experience providing supported employment or similar services.
