Position: Application Engineer II

Key Responsibilities:
  • Thoroughly assess the technical and commercial specifications of the application.
  • Identify the suitable G&W product to fulfill these specifications.
  • Create precise cost models for both standard and customized equipment.
  • Establish and negotiate pricing structures and delivery timelines.
  • Relay these specifications to G&W's Order Management team for engineering and production.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Team to devise and present customer sales strategies.
  • Engage with clients and our Engineering team to craft tailored solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Oversee the commercial and technical dimensions of client interactions.
  • Develop and sustain robust relationships with internal teams and the Sales Team.
  • Deliver timely and effective verbal and written communications to our internal teams and Sales Team.
  • Work alongside Application Engineering management to enhance departmental quality, efficiency, and minimize waste.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution, with a focus on Power Engineering preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an Application Engineering role at G&W Electric.
  • At least 5 years of experience in an Application Engineering role outside of G&W.
  • Exceptional communication and mentoring abilities.
  • Strong proficiency in computer applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with switchgear, reclosers, SF6 insulated, and dielectric insulated switches.

Management:
No direct reports associated with this position.

Physical Demands / Working Conditions:
Office environment, computer usage
Occasional light lifting (up to 25 lbs)
Stooping and standing required.
