Job Overview

The Quantum Technology Validation Specialist will develop methods to validate and enhance the performance of various electro-optical subsystems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and/or test experience with electro-optical sub-systems like line cards used in telecommunications equipment or similar.
  • Review of Sub-system design including integration of optics, electronics, firmware, software, and thermal design.
  • Designing laboratory setups with light sources, detectors, switches, function generators, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Developing SW scripts to automatically drive measurement setups and feed data into a database.
  • Developing SW and algorithms for data analysis and extracting key performance parameters.
  • Design and running experiments to validate design functionality of subsystems.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or physical science with 4+ years of industry experience.
  • 3-4 years of experience validating and testing optical systems.
  • Experience working with optical and/or electrical test equipment like power meters, OBR, OSA, oscilloscopes, function generators (AWG), VNA.
  • Experience with high-speed electro-optical devices and test equipment like modulators, RF detectors, pulsed lasers, optical sampling oscilloscope.
  • Experience developing test methods and optimization, tuning/calibration algorithms.
  • Ability to understand and write scripts to communicate and control instruments.
  • Python experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with programming CPUs to interface with FPGA's is a plus.

The estimated base salary range for this role is $120,000-$165,000 USD per year, depending on qualifications and location.
