Job Title: Instructional Technology Specialist II

We are seeking a highly skilled Instructional Technology Specialist II to join our team at Boston University Medical Campus IT - Educational Media. This is an evening role with standard working hours 1pm-9:30pm servicing clients in classrooms and event spaces with both audio/visual system and educational technology support needs.

The successful candidate will operate, maintain, problem-solve and provide tech support for classroom technology systems and services for curriculum and non-curriculum activity. They will also serve on multiple project teams in a variety of roles such as Project Coordinator, Project Lead, Technical Lead or Client Lead, for events in need of long-term planning as well as longitudinal projects.

Focusing on consistently providing outstanding support for our diverse client community of faculty, staff, and students, this position may entail being on call and/or supporting a few weekend events a year, as well as flexibility to change hours as service needs dictate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot classroom technology systems and services
  • Provide technical support for audio/visual and educational technology needs
  • Serve on project teams for events and longitudinal projects
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their technology needs and provide solutions
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of audio/visual and educational technology systems
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
