Job Title: Air Traffic Control Instructor II

Job Summary:

The Air Traffic Control Instructor II will be responsible for delivering high-quality training to a diverse range of students, including developmental air traffic controllers and certified professional controllers. The successful candidate will have excellent teaching and platform skills, as well as strong technical knowledge of current ATC automation, simulation systems, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for air traffic controllers
  • Mentor students and other instructors to ensure high-quality training
  • Design and develop curriculum for ATC training programs
  • Interface effectively with FAA personnel to ensure training meets local needs
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communication skills
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Certified Professional Controller in an FAA air traffic control facility
  • Experience in classroom and simulator laboratory instruction
  • Prior OJTI certification and 3+ years of experience in that role
  • Operational experience with ATC simulators, including scenario design and pseudo/remote pilot operations
