Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Monitor and communicate regulatory developments in the environment, health, and safety area to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
    • Develop and implement health and safety compliance strategies in conjunction with corporate directives.
    • Network with industry peers to stay up-to-date on best practices and emerging trends.
  • Leadership and Training
    • Provide direction, review, and oversight of all safety systems to ensure they are effective and compliant.
    • Identify, communicate, and assist in the development of best practices for injury prevention.
    • Ensure accurate and timely reporting and record-keeping in accordance with OSHA and state agency requirements.
  • Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management
    • Lead the efforts in Process Safety Management (PSM), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), and Risk Management Plan (RMP) compliance and addressing shortfalls.
    • Review new and continuous improvement projects for requirements related to PHA/PSM.
  • Incident Analysis and Reporting
    • Conduct and manage incident reporting procedures to DAP Corporate and RPM.
    • Evaluate trends in incidents and recommend corrective actions to minimize or eliminate undesirable trends.
  • Environmental Reporting
    • Keep accurate records on plant emission calculations to maintain monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting submission requirements.
    • Assure plants stay in compliance with required external and internal reporting requirements.
Requirements
  • EHS degree preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental health & safety or similar field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Computer software familiarity.
  • Working knowledge of state and federal regulations.
  • Experience in research skills.
  • Certified Safety Professional preferred.
