Job DescriptionThis role involves teaching math to middle school students, creating a nurturing and engaging classroom environment, and implementing a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to manage student behavior, and work effectively under pressure.
Responsibilities- Teach math to middle school students using a variety of teaching methods designed to create opportunities for deep understanding and differentiated instruction.
- Create and maintain a structured and engaging classroom environment that promotes learning and student growth.
- Implement ICEF's Essential Elements and Core Values, including Instructional Model College-Going Culture, College Style Discourse, College Level Analytical Writing, and Backward Mapping to College Standards.
- Collaborate with Special Education Team and ELL Support Staff to ensure that students with additional needs are able to access the curriculum.
- Participate actively in all professional development sessions and perform other duties as assigned by the school Principal.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree – required, Master's - preferred.
- Possession of a valid Multiple/Single Subject (internship, preliminary, or clear) California Teaching Credential.
- Possession of either a Bilingual, Cross-Cultural, Language or Academic Development (BCLAD) certificate; a Cross-Cultural, Language and Academic Development (CLAD) certificate; a Bilingual Certificate of Competence (BCC); or a Language Development Specialist (LDS) certificate is desirable.
- Able to teach in an urban school environment and confident in managing student behavior.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change easily.
- Demonstrated success working with students from educationally underserved areas.

Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
