Job Description:

The School Principal position at Camino Nuevo Charter Academy requires a highly skilled and experienced educational leader to oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive educational program. As the principal, you will serve as the educational leader under the supervision of the Vice President of Schools and be responsible for administering the program in accordance with school board policies and administrative rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy and Vision Setting: Facilitate the development of a school-wide vision with measurable goals and a positive school culture, build a common vision for school improvement with staff, and define and articulate a school philosophy aligned with the CNCA vision.
  • Team Leadership and Performance Management: Recruit, evaluate, and manage school certificated and classified staff, foster collegiality and team building among staff members, and maintain high standards for student performance.
  • Administrative Management and Compliance Responsibilities: Develop and manage school budget, ensure the smooth running of daily school operations, and oversee compliance-related reporting.
  • Instructional Leadership: Develop master schedule, coordinate and assess instructional programs, provide instructional resources and materials, and supervise school-wide curriculum and assessment mapping.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in education administration or education leadership preferred.
  • Valid administrative credential desired.
  • Valid California teaching credential required.
  • Three to five (3-5) years leadership experience in urban education required.
  • Three to five (3-5) years of successful teaching or pupil personnel services experience required.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary range of $110,000.00 - $128,000.00 per year, along with benefits including dental insurance, health insurance, referral program, and vision insurance. The ideal candidate will have experience working in urban charter schools and will possess strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
