Job Title: APRN Health Specialist
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our School-Based Health Center team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality healthcare services to students, including preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.
The APRN practices medicine under a collaborative agreement with a departmental physician, with both disciplines practicing within the scope and boundaries of State regulations. Responsibilities include coordinating patient care, educating patients on preventive health care and chronic disease management, protecting clients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, and maintaining confidentiality in regards to patients, staff and program matters.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of APRN experience within a healthcare facility
- MSN degree and current CT RN/APRN licensure. CPR certification required
- Advanced knowledge of EPIC EMRs
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule and to fill in when needed
- Knowledge and management of principles and practices including optimum use of staff and all other available resources
- Ability to explain treatments and conditions to patients of all ages
- Working knowledge of health care laws and regulations
