Position Summary:

The Master Production Planner plays a crucial role in ensuring the attainment of daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules. This individual will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of various departments and teams within a manufacturing and production setting. Key responsibilities include scheduling activities, aligning engineering deliverables with production timelines, developing effective production strategies, and establishing production targets. Collaboration with the Supply Chain team is essential to guarantee the availability of materials needed to meet these targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of ERP Systems, Master Production Scheduling, Production Planning, and Capacity Planning.
  • Create and maintain detailed master production and material plans for the product line to facilitate Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and optimize production capacity in support of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Manage and control MRP to ensure necessary production flexibility and achieve targeted inventory levels.
  • Oversee the process from initial data collection and analysis to MRP generation.
  • Input forecast data into MRP systems.
  • Generate and distribute the build plan to Contract Manufacturers, considering MRP outcomes and flexibility constraints.
  • Utilize independent judgment to develop methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for effective problem-solving.
  • Integrate new technologies and processes as required.
  • Manage inventory levels of raw materials.
  • Develop and maintain necessary records and documentation in accordance with ISO system requirements.
  • Supervise daily activities of the Production Control Team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or 7 years of equivalent experience.
  • Experience with ERP Software; familiarity with NetSuite is advantageous.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Excel for effective data communication; knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
  • Familiarity with MES software.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to engage effectively with engineering, technical support, and management.
  • Comfortable presenting to small to medium-sized groups.
  • Strong business acumen with a solid understanding of commercial and financial principles.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to establishing and utilizing best practice methods through documented Standard Work Instructions.
