Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Delivery Specialist, focusing on furniture assembly and installation. This position offers both part-time and full-time opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of merchandise to customers.
- Conduct professional service calls and manage the retrieval of items from customer locations.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of rental agreements and merchandise to facilitate effective customer interactions.
- Safeguard company funds collected during deliveries and maintain vehicle security.
- Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and management to provide updates and resolve issues.
Essential Duties:
- Adhere to Premier Rental-Purchase operational standards.
- Execute all delivery and service tasks with professionalism and efficiency.
- Handle merchandise with care during transport and ensure proper maintenance.
- Review delivery documentation to confirm accuracy of items being delivered.
- Respond to customer inquiries promptly and courteously.
- Manage the return and refurbishment of rental items to maintain quality standards.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the backroom and assigned vehicle.
- Assist in receiving and processing new merchandise.
- Support store operations as needed, including customer order verification and store maintenance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
Skills Required:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in operational tasks.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic and understand instructions.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make independent decisions.
- Capability to manage customer interactions professionally.
Work Environment:
Work is conducted in various settings, including stores, customer homes, and outdoor environments. The role requires physical activity, including walking, standing, and lifting. Flexibility in working hours may be necessary to accommodate business needs. Exposure to diverse weather conditions and physical environments is expected.
Compensation: $18.00 per hour
