JOB PURPOSE

As a Retail Shift Leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and enhancing profitability through a customer-focused approach. Your leadership will foster teamwork, elevate product knowledge, and ensure an exceptional customer experience.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Guide the sales process to achieve performance targets during shifts for all team members.
  2. Encourage a culture centered around customer engagement and satisfaction, exemplifying the service and sales experience.
  3. Provide constructive feedback and performance insights to management, promoting team development.
  4. Coach team members in real-time to maximize their selling capabilities, establishing clear goals and expectations for each shift.
  5. Assist in the onboarding of new hires and facilitate ongoing training for the sales team.
  6. Act as a brand ambassador, engaging with the community and supporting local marketing initiatives to enhance brand presence.
  7. Oversee inventory management and order processes as needed.
  8. Ensure compliance with food safety standards during product preparation and service.
  9. Manage third-party vendor relationships effectively.
  10. Encourage customer enrollment in our Membership Program.
  11. Conduct active product sampling throughout the day to enhance customer interaction.
  12. Relay customer feedback to management regarding product requests and suggestions.
  13. Perform opening and closing responsibilities, including bank deposits and shipment receipt, while interpreting company directives as the manager on duty.
  14. Maintain store cleanliness and appearance to uphold company standards.
  15. Lead by example, reinforcing company policies and ensuring a safe and respectful work environment.
  16. Utilize POS systems and related technology to optimize operational efficiency.
  17. Complete other job-related tasks as assigned.
  18. Ensure adequate sales floor coverage in accordance with posted schedules.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Passion and knowledge in health, fitness, and wellness.
  • Ability to cultivate customer relationships and deliver outstanding service.
  • Demonstrated commitment to achieving results.
  • Flexibility to adapt to new procedures and changing priorities.
  • Proven track record in customer-centric sales success.
  • Strong team player with the capability to lead and work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in English.
  • Solid understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
  • Previous experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality leadership is preferred.
  • Experience with cash handling and POS systems.
  • Possession of a valid Food Handler Card or applicable state certification at the time of hire.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires prolonged periods of standing.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures throughout the day and across seasons.
