Job Summary

As an Associate Automation Developer at Hastings Insurance, you will play a key role in the development of Robotics Process Automation (RPA) components and support RPA solutions. This entry-level role will work closely with System Architects, Subject Matter Experts, and Business Analysts to automate business processes and be responsible for supporting day-to-day running of RPA processes in the production environment while supporting new process automation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and configuring process automation for low-level design and technical design.
  • Develop reusable components, scripts, and framework for the Automation Library.
  • Comply with and help to enforce design and coding standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure quality of coded components by performing thorough testing.
  • Prepare the necessary documentation to hand over automated components to System Architects.
  • Work within project planning constraints, communicating any identified project risks and issues to the Project Lead accordingly.
  • Support developers with development activities and assist with troubleshooting and resolving development-related issues.
  • Ensure project adherence to internal best practices and standards for RPA.
  • Explore and evaluate other emerging RPA technologies.
  • Actively participate in professional development, i.e., continuing education or self-improvement.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required. An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field desired.
  • High attention-to-detail along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and ensure timely deliverables.
  • Experience working on RPA engagements is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience and/or working understanding of UiPath required.
  • Understanding of IT environment infrastructures and enterprise software.
