We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Allina Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine and complex laboratory procedures, following federal regulations, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and complex laboratory procedures, including manual and automated testing.
  • Follow all federal regulations, including CAP, OSHA, COLA, CLIA, and HIPAA.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and manage patient orders for completeness.
  • Collect and process specimens following standardized system protocols.
  • Maintain education, regulatory, and safety measures, including training employees and students.
  • Participate in departmental or system-wide meetings, projects, or committees as required.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Vocational degree in a related laboratory field, including clinical rotations or equivalent routes.
  • Laboratory or Medical Laboratory experience preferred.
  • ASCP or AMT laboratory certification preferred, with the ability to obtain certification within 180 days of hire.

Physical Demands

  • Light Work: Lifting weight up to 20 lbs. occasionally, up to 10 lbs. frequently.
