The Arc of Ocean County is committed to providing high-quality support services to individuals with disabilities. As a key member of our team, the Assistant Transition Coordinator plays a vital role in helping our participants achieve their employment goals.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience working with adults with developmental disabilities and possess excellent supervisory and communication skills. They will be responsible for providing training, supervision, and support to Transition Specialists, ensuring quality vocational opportunities for participants to develop and enhance their employment skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing training and supervision to Transition Specialists
  • Ensuring quality vocational opportunities for participants
  • Networking and communicating effectively with funding and accreditation sources, supervisors, co-workers, participants, and community partners

Requirements:

  • At least two years of experience working with adults with developmental disabilities
  • Ability to supervise, manage, and direct program
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have a Valid NJ Driver's License with no more than five points
  • At least one year of longevity with a previous employer

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Special Education, or related area
