Key Responsibilities:
  • Tax Leadership: Spearhead our tax practice, providing expert advice on a wide range of tax issues, including compliance, planning, and consulting.
  • Oversight of Tax Returns: Supervise and review complex tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
  • Strategic Tax Planning: Develop and implement tax strategies that align with clients' financial objectives, minimize tax liabilities, and identify savings opportunities.
  • Regulatory Awareness: Stay informed about changes in tax legislation and industry trends, assessing their implications for clients and communicating key insights.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and collaborating to meet their unique needs.
  • Team Development: Mentor and guide a team of tax professionals, promoting ongoing education, growth, and a culture of excellence.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work alongside other divisions, such as audit and advisory, to deliver comprehensive solutions that enhance client service.
  • Business Growth: Identify opportunities for expanding the client base, improving services, and establishing strategic partnerships.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • Advanced degrees, CPA, or EA credentials are advantageous.
  • A proven track record in tax, with at least 5 years of experience in public accounting or a similar setting.
  • Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws, with the ability to interpret and apply complex tax codes.
  • Strong leadership skills, capable of inspiring high-performance teams.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate tax knowledge into actionable financial advice.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly to clients and colleagues.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities for reviewing complex tax returns and financial documents.
  • Effective project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in tax software, accounting systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
