Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily culinary operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and freshness.
  • Guide and mentor kitchen staff in line cooking, food preparation, and presentation techniques.
  • Facilitate training for new kitchen personnel to align with restaurant standards.
  • Supervise food preparation processes to maintain quality and adherence to restaurant guidelines.
  • Assist in the recruitment and selection of skilled culinary professionals.
  • Monitor and evaluate team member performance, providing necessary support and training.
  • Collaborate with the head chef to enhance kitchen organization and staff development.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations at all times.
  • Manage inventory levels and coordinate supply orders to optimize kitchen efficiency.
  • Conduct quality checks on ingredients and maintain well-stocked cooking stations during peak hours.
  • Report to work punctually and prepared for all scheduled shifts.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two to five years of experience in a culinary leadership role within a similar environment.
  • Possession of Serve Safe Certification.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, and lift up to 20 lbs as necessary.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced culinary environment.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a cohesive team.
  • Comprehensive understanding of company policies and procedures.
