Job Overview

As a Culinary Specialist at Daylight Beach Club, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences. Your expertise in food preparation and presentation will ensure that our guests enjoy high-quality meals that meet our standards.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining Quality Standards: Upholding the highest standards in food preparation and service.
  • Culinary Techniques: Demonstrating a solid understanding of various culinary techniques and applying them skillfully.
  • Service Execution: Assisting in the execution of service as needed to ensure smooth operations.
  • Menu Knowledge: Keeping a thorough knowledge of the menu and ensuring attention to detail in plate presentation.
  • Food Preparation: Overseeing the preparation of all food items, both hot and cold, including for special events.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensuring that all food meets quality specifications and guarantees.
  • Base Sauces and Stocks: Maintaining a solid understanding of base sauces, stocks, and soups.
  • Inventory Management: Regularly restocking kitchen supplies and food items necessary for service.
  • Sanitation Practices: Properly labeling and dating all products to ensure safety and sanitation.
  • Kitchen Cleanliness: Keeping the kitchen environment clean, safe, and sanitary.
  • Health and Safety: Assisting in adhering to all health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
  • Cost Management: Contributing to efforts to reduce food costs and waste.
  • Product Rotation: Ensuring proper product rotation using a first-in, first-out approach.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar culinary position.
  • Basic proficiency in English, both oral and written.
  • The ability to read and measure recipes accurately.
  • Basic knife skills for food preparation.
  • Knowledge of weights and measures.
  • An understanding of various cooking techniques.
