Position Overview
This role is essential in ensuring the efficient acquisition of materials, services, and subcontracting resources necessary for operational success. The Buyer plays a supportive role across various operational sectors.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and distribute requests for proposals to vetted suppliers.
- Exhibit strong communication and negotiation capabilities.
- Procure all necessary services and materials, including Factory Stores, through authorized requisitions and/or Factory Stores order reports utilizing spot buy purchase orders and/or consignment and blanket purchase orders.
- Negotiate, process, and expedite subcontracting services in alignment with operational needs.
- Input all Purchase Orders into the system and maintain comprehensive records with supporting documentation.
- Expedite and monitor orders as required.
- Source and update vendor information as necessary, ensuring control and maintenance of vendor insurance certificates and hold harmless agreements.
- Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of procurement experience within manufacturing settings, demonstrating a strong record of accountability and success.
- In-depth understanding of procurement processes and practices, along with exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in computer applications, capable of managing multiple databases, and skilled in data entry and retrieval.
- Previous experience with ERP/MRP systems is advantageous.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.

Working Environment
- Exposure to an indoor manufacturing setting.
- Working conditions may involve confined spaces, dust, fumes, odors, varying temperatures, noise, and prolonged standing on concrete surfaces.

Physical Demands
- Must be capable of lifting and carrying items weighing up to thirty-five (35) pounds repetitively.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist, and work at heights intermittently.
- Must be able to operate around forklifts and hazardous machinery while wearing all necessary Personal Protective Equipment.
