About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team at YesCare. As a Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing mental health services to inmates/patients in a correctional facility. This is a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those in need.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to and initiate care for those requiring mental health services throughout the facility.
  • Assess inmate/patient in a variety of settings.
  • Identify inmate/patient mental health problems and prescribe treatment under direction of a physician.
  • Implement mental health services utilizing therapeutic regimens approved by a psychiatrist.
  • Provide mental health education to inmate/patient, healthcare and correctional staff.
  • Document all mental healthcare contacts.
  • Adhere to safety and security policies and participate in disaster drills.
  • Follow security regulations for keys, sharps and controlled medications.
  • Delegates to and supervises other appropriate infection control practices.
  • Adheres to Universal Precautions and other appropriate infection control practices.
  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
