About the Role

Corizon Health, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a correctional setting. As a Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and promoting a safe and healthy environment for inmates and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment: Conduct thorough assessments of inmates' mental health needs and develop treatment plans to address their specific requirements.
  • Mental Health Services: Provide a range of mental health services, including individual and group therapy sessions, to inmates in need.
  • Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive care for inmates.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, treatment plans, and outcomes.
  • Security and Safety: Adhere to all security protocols and procedures to ensure a safe environment for inmates and staff.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Graduate of an accredited college/university Nurse Practitioner program with current license/certification in the state in which working.
  • Certifications and Training: Current CPR certification and completion of any required training programs.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a correctional setting or similar environment.
