Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations to help diagnose or decide the optimal procedure for patients.
  • Create a comfortable and safe environment for patients to undergo examinations.
  • Identify anatomical orientation on images and ensure proper file identification.
  • Demonstrate competency in performing radiographic procedures and operating equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and employees to provide excellent patient care.
  • Provide instruction and mentoring to new hires and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
  • Meet or exceed deadlines and follow through on responsibilities with accountability, flexibility, and adaptability.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to use the department's computerized system and its associated devices.
  • Preferred qualifications include an associate degree or Baccalaureate degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine, and 1+ years of experience in general radiologic technology.
Physical Demands:
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to lift patients weighing up to 300 pounds and place them in appropriate positions for equipment operation.
  • Requires eyesight correctable to 20/20 to operate equipment and review developed films.
