Mechanical Maintenance Specialist

POSITION SUMMARYUnder close supervision, the role involves executing a range of straightforward to moderately complex tasks by adhering to detailed work instructions that necessitate limited judgment and decision-making.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance.
- Perform maintenance, repair, and data tracking for feeders.
- Instruct personnel on the operation and upkeep of machinery.
- May assist in training and coordinating activities of Maintenance Assistants.
Additional Responsibilities May Include:
- Diagnosing issues in malfunctioning electro-mechanical equipment utilized in the manufacturing process.
- Dismantling, adjusting, repairing, and assembling equipment based on layout plans, blueprints, operating manuals, rough sketches, or drawings.
- Employing testing and diagnostic tools for equipment checkouts.
- Potentially working overtime as required.
- Adhering to all procedures outlined in the company security policy.
- Carrying out other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Ability to acquire job skills and understand company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
- Familiarity with basic and specialized hand tools and leveling instruments, including knowledge of torque specifications.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Understanding of electronic color codes and component value markings.
- Awareness of safety practices and requirements.
- Competence in personal computer operation in a Windows environment (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and email).
- Experience with specialized maintenance tracking software.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Associate's degree in electronics with a focus on servo positioning theory or a related field.
- Prior experience as a Maintenance Assistant may be considered.
- Zero to two years of relevant work experience is required, preferably in a manufacturing environment involving electro-mechanical equipment.
- Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
